Michael Sean Kirby
Michael Sean Kirby is a Houston based artist/sculptor who works with a variety of materials: bronze, stone, clay, fiberglass, and concrete. Kirby is a graduate of the University of Texas, and he achieved a Master's Degree in Visual Arts – with honors – from the San Carlos Academy in Mexico City, in 2001. Kirby’s artwork has been shown around Texas and in Mexico, including the University Pinacoteca Alfonso Michel, Contemporary Art Museum Houston, and Sculpture Month Houston. He currently teaches sculpture at the Glassell School of Art, and is a contributing writer for Art Houston Magazine. In 2022, his work titled, "Ouroboros" was acquired by the city of Houston's Civic Art Collection and is on permanent display at Houston Hobby Airport.
